OK, so the title was corny, but hey! We love the Beach Boys and it's summer, after all which is the perfect showcase for their music. But we introduced it that way because our topic at hand is not music or surfer chic but designer Barbara Bui.

The new Satchel Chain bags by Barbara Bui are stunning. And they really do fit into the next few seasons easily. First, they are just large enough to be acceptable for this season's gargantuan purse craze, but small enough to not to break your back, which is more of a fall/winter trend you will see coming up soon.

Not to mention the fact that it is a bit of a frame bag up top, and has a snap closure. We love, love, love frame snap closures, because they are so rare. Don't get us wrong – there is nothing wrong with a button snap closure or a zipper, but the way this bag opens hearkens to old school bags, though it is still a modern bag.
