More Fall Trends: Would You Wear These?

Despite our week-long foray into the fall fashion trends, a few more seem to have popped up, and we of course are all over it. In addition to the dark patent leather colors and fresh purple and fuchsia colors that you will be seeing lots of, these are also big trends for fall:

Jeweled necklines are big for fall. Why wear a necklace when you can wear your jewels on your actual dress, and not have to worry about losing them or having them fall off? We think these are cute and very sophisticated, though probably quite pricey, even for non-designer versions of these frocks.

Animal print scarves are all the rage. We personally aren't big fans but they are a nice way to add a stylish accessory to your look, and many can be had on the cheap.

The jury is still out on these multi-colored vests, we predict they will catch on only nominally.

Belted dresses are a big fall tend, but you can never have too many belts of varying sizes, colors and materials. So why not use them on some of your longer fall tunics as well?

This is maybe our favorite new trend. Simple, easy to buy and allows you to use your white jeans after labor day! What could be better?

Best-Dressed at the Emmys

The Emmys are generally one of the Awards shows that you can count on to be funnier than the others and not take itself so seriously. You can also count on a few surprises, such as Ricky Gervais winning a statue for Extras. In fact, Gervais was so sure he wouldn't win he didn't attend the ceremony, setting up one of the funnier bits of the night.

And now that we have shown our Emmy love, time to get onto the fashion. Another surprise winner, Katherine Heigl in white Zac Posen.

Ugly Betty she's not! America Ferrera is absolutely stunning in this cobalt strapless ruched number.

We hope that newlywed Kate Walsh doesn't stay indoors for her Private Practice, not when she looks this stunning. Walsh wore a curve-hugging Pamela Dennis gown with red hair, lips and nails to match.

Another newlywed, another best-dressed. Recently-wed Eva Longoria is obviously still glowing from just-married bliss and has the shiny dress to match, choosing to wear this silver Kaufman Franco number.

Project Runway host Heidi Klum has been upping her profile lately, and walking the red capret in this gorgeous Dior dress will only help. And to top things off – all the jewelry she is wearing is from her own collection! Ah, to have a collection of baubles like that …

Big Fall Trends: Cobalt Blue

The Fall fashion lists generally come out around this time every year. Even though we are still mired in the dog days of sweltering hot August summer, we love to look forward to fall. Not only do you have cooler temperatures but a whole new set of looks, colors and textures to wear.

We have been ravenously devouring all the Fall lists and are going to pick apart each one in the coming days. We will start first with People magazine, because they are fun and unlike other magazines that focus strictly on fashion, they give you affordable tips on clothing.

The first thing on their list is Cobalt blue. We gotta say, we were a little wary of this at first. You see, we used to have a kitchen full of those clear cobalt blue dishes that were oh-so-popular for about five minutes a few years ago. And it is still the first thing we think of when we hear that color being mentioned.

We are putting our plate prejudice aside, though and are really loving this look. Now granted, almost everything looks good on a radiant beauty like Eva Longoria. But this color is just the right amount of brightness that it will look good on almost any skin tone. We are not sure we would wear a whole dress of nothing but that color, but a top paired with jeans or black slacks for contrast would look great.

Wedding of the Year?

We admit, we got a little bored with the constant updates on Eva Longoria's wedding to basketball champion Tony Parker. We thought the hoopla over it (particularly in Parker's native France) was all a bit over-the-top. We also had more interest in the couture shows that were taking place while they had several events leading up to the wedding.

Then we got a glimpse of some of the smashin' fashion going on in regards to the wedding, and we were hooked! Jut look at these bags that Eva had made up for her bridesmaids:

These are one-of-a-kind Rafe Totengco minaudières that have the initials of the recipient etched in! now THAT is a wedding gift we can get on board with. And with our best friend's wedding in October … If you were stuck in a cave yesterday, get the full fashion recap for Eva Longoria's wedding after the jump.

Designers 101: Rafe New York

Rafe New York is the brainchild of acclaimed fashion designer Rafe Totengco. The boutique accessory house is known for its blend of "relaxed chic" handbags and shoes, and draws inspiration from the cultural synergy and sophistication of New York City. Originally from the Phillipines, Totengco migrated to New York in 1989 to pursue his dream career as a fashion designer. He enrolled in FIT, supported himself working as a design assistant, and before long was producing a small line of belts and watchbands for small NYC boutiques. Belts and watchbands eventually became handbags and shoes, and in less than six years Rafe New York was featured in high-end fashion department store Bergdorf Goodman. But perhaps an even greater indication of Totengco's success; this year he launched a line of handbags exclusively for Target. Now that's hot.

Baghaus is proud to offer our very own line of handbags inspired by Rafe New York. We think you'll like them as much as Jessica Alba, Eva Longoria, and Sandra Oh love their authentic Rafe handbags. Actually, we think you'll like our Baghaus versions even more @ 49.99 and under :)
