More Fall Trends: Would You Wear These?

Despite our week-long foray into the fall fashion trends, a few more seem to have popped up, and we of course are all over it. In addition to the dark patent leather colors and fresh purple and fuchsia colors that you will be seeing lots of, these are also big trends for fall:

Jeweled necklines are big for fall. Why wear a necklace when you can wear your jewels on your actual dress, and not have to worry about losing them or having them fall off? We think these are cute and very sophisticated, though probably quite pricey, even for non-designer versions of these frocks.

Animal print scarves are all the rage. We personally aren't big fans but they are a nice way to add a stylish accessory to your look, and many can be had on the cheap.

The jury is still out on these multi-colored vests, we predict they will catch on only nominally.

Belted dresses are a big fall tend, but you can never have too many belts of varying sizes, colors and materials. So why not use them on some of your longer fall tunics as well?

This is maybe our favorite new trend. Simple, easy to buy and allows you to use your white jeans after labor day! What could be better?

Dress Like J-Lo

The recently-released (in a limited run) El Cantante stars Jennifer Lopez and husband Marc Anthony as troubled couple Hector Lavoe (the Godfather of Salsa music) and his wife Pucchi. Since the movie is set in New York circa 1970s and 1980s, the wardrobe is very retro, and very hot. And surprisingly, very affordable (all things considered).

The proceeds for the sale of select wardrobe pieces from the movie go to AmfAR, in a fitting tribute to Lavoe, who died of AIDS complications due to his heroine habit.

This dress in particular drew stirs from the sale, which was held last week:

You can also buy select pieces of Anthony's wardrobe, with prices starting as low as $55. It must pay to be a diva, because Lopez's clothes started at $265 for a pair of hot pants.

Of course, you have to either want the clothes for display or your collection only, or be the same size as Anthony and Lopez. Though no sizes were divulged for Anthony's pieces, one source says that J-Lo's clothes were a "size four or six."
