We knew when the Spice Girls announced their reunion tour awhile back that the dozen or so dates announced would not be enough. Though we don't exactly jam to their music, they have tons of fans around the world and a handful of concerts simply wouldn’t be enough.

Little did we know just how right we would be. They had to add dozens of new dates, and have yet to announce any in New York City, where demand will surely be quite high. In addition to these dates for fans, the Girls have announced one more big and important date – a November 15th appearance at this year's Victoria's Secret fashion show. After the success of Justin Timberlake last year, we guess the peeps at Victoria's wanted to up the ante a bit.

But that is not the only Spice Girls news. Two other big pieces were revealed in the last week: the first is that Roberto Cavalli will be dressing Scary, Posh, Sporty, Ginger and Baby. It had been previously thought that Donatella Versace would outfit them, but that has apparently fallen through (with no reason as to why). The other big news is that U2 frontman Bono will be collaborating with the girls on a song that they will play on their tour.

Should be a very interesting collaboration indeed, we can't wait to hear what it sounds like!
Sometimes celebrity endorsements are kind of lame. Like Rihanna coming out with her own line of umbrellas in commemoration of her summer hit "Umbrella." Seriously, who comes out with their own line of designer umbrellas? An umbrella is just not something we are willing to pay premium prices for.
But sometimes, a celebrity endorsement seems like a good fit. And that is the case with the recently-announced partnership between Aussie songbird Kylie Minogue and Spanish jewelry and handbag designer Tous.
The ads will come out in June of next year, but will be photographed next month. Kylie has already agreed to start wearing Tous jewelry, selecting several pieces to wear to the "White Diamond" tour documentary premiere tomorrow. The contract signed will go all the way until 2010, so expect to see plenty of Kyle-Tous synergy coming to a fashion magazine near you.
What we want to know is if Kylie will also be shilling for the handbags. Being Baghaus, we are very interested in the purse aspect of this, after all. We think Kyle would look adorable toting around the signature Tour Bear logo.

This large Tous-inspired Teddy zippered tote would be great, or she could also try our beige messenger bag:

Don't act surprised. We weren't. It seems like every other day, we report on the newest celeb designer wannabe that has inexplicably signed a deal for their own clothing line. This time, it is musician Sheryl Crow.

We like Crow's music but some of her past fashion choices have been less than inspired. Her style seems to be very basic, and there is nothing wrong with that. But with a celebrity label comes celebrity prices, and we are not going to pay extra for something we can get at Target just because it has Crowe's name attached.

That being said, the deal is supposedly with Western Glove Works and it will be a line made up of primarily denim that is tentatively called Bootheel Trading Co. by Sheryl Crow. We do love our denim, so like anything else we will wait to pass judgment until we see the clothes. Unfortunately, we will be waiting another year, since the line is not slated for release until fall of 2008.
In case the Western Glove Works name sounds familiar, it is probably because they own Silver Jeans and 1921. They also recently put out the DVB Denim collection, which is that of David and Victoria Beckham. Here are a few shots of that collection:

We always make a point to do a blog post whenever we run across any shoes that we think are completely outrageous. And of course with Paris Fashion Week just completing its run, there have been more than usual. So let's talk about some of these shoes and why on earth someone would think it was a good idea.

This one has been around awhile, but we haven't posted it here before, so we thought we would. How anyone even straps those on, much less walks in them, is beyond our comprehension.

The reason we thought of the aforementioned pair is because this pair that Victoria Beckham wore on a recent Paris photo shoot reminded us of them. These were designed just for her, apparently and she had to learn how to walk in them … duh!

We wonder how long it took to learn to walk in these, as well. Or can you only stand around in them?
Then, there are painful shoes of another sort. These may actually be quite comfortable, but they are one of the ugliest pairs of shoes we have ever seen … which is a pain of a whole different kind, but one that equally hurts …

Yep, crocs have gone Uggs on us. Since we have always thought both shoes were hideous, this unnatural and evil spawn makes our fashion spidey sense tingle, and not in a good way.
Ok, so we have professed our love for all things Sarah Jessica Parker, including the groundbreaking series "Sex and the City." We cried when it left the airwaves (yes, literally) and have been salivating for word as to when the much-anticipated movie would start filming.
Well, not that it is filming all over NYC, there are obviously some pictures that have been leaked and we are NOT happy about some of them. We know the show was always on the cutting edge of fashion, and we expect no less of the Big Screen version. However, some of these choices … Well, we will let you judge for yourself.

Is this a flashback to when our Fab Four ladies met? Because if this is not a flashback to 1980s fashion, then we are a little worried about Samantha's recent change in style.

Yeah … we don't know what to say. If we were SJP, we don't think we would be smiling like she is.

We can't decide which is uglier – the cheesy novelty bag or those hideous shoes.

What on EARTH is that feather thing on the side of SJP's veil? And why is the bodice of her gown so ill-fitting? She is swimming in the top, and those jewels look almost like stains.
The one redeeming factor is that we hear that many of these scenes (including the wedding one) are fantasies of the girls being played out and not a part of the actual storyline. Let's hope these clothes aren't a part of the storyline by the time it reaches cineplexes.
Despite our week-long foray into the fall fashion trends, a few more seem to have popped up, and we of course are all over it. In addition to the dark patent leather colors and fresh purple and fuchsia colors that you will be seeing lots of, these are also big trends for fall:

Jeweled necklines are big for fall. Why wear a necklace when you can wear your jewels on your actual dress, and not have to worry about losing them or having them fall off? We think these are cute and very sophisticated, though probably quite pricey, even for non-designer versions of these frocks.

Animal print scarves are all the rage. We personally aren't big fans but they are a nice way to add a stylish accessory to your look, and many can be had on the cheap.

The jury is still out on these multi-colored vests, we predict they will catch on only nominally.

Belted dresses are a big fall tend, but you can never have too many belts of varying sizes, colors and materials. So why not use them on some of your longer fall tunics as well?

This is maybe our favorite new trend. Simple, easy to buy and allows you to use your white jeans after labor day! What could be better?
Aahhh, October. Depending on where you live, it means finally cooler temperatures, or in other climes it means colder temps. But no matter where you are, it means that its time to start thinking of arguably the most fun you will have with fashion all year – your Halloween costume.
Recently, online pollsters Zoomerang.com asked members what they thought would be the hottest costumes for October 31st, and the answers were as creative and funny as ever. And good news for you budget costume hunters – many are very affordable and can even be made with stuff you have around the house.
The number one answer was Paris Hilton in prison garb.

Should be fairly easy to find a costume for that, or just make one yourself by painting black stripes on a white shirt.
The next most-popular answer was one of the Transformers, and you are on your own with that one.
After the Transformers came the bald Britney.

Very easy, if you have a bald cap. If not, we are not condoning shaving your head for your Halloween costume.
Next on the list is Sanjaya, he who made our ears bleed for far too many weeks last Spring on "American Idol."

We are assuming that people are going to go for the ponytail hawk, but they could choose another one of his many mane looks.

Fans of Outkast probably already are familiar with the occasionally waaaay-out-there fashion sense of Andre Benjamin, who prefers for us to call him by Andre 3000. Though he does have some great clothes and can occasionally look like a very dapper gentleman, he can also look like something from another planet as well.
So imagine our surprise when we read today that Mr. Benjamin is all set to get his own clothing line for next season! Though very little has been announced about the project, Andre was quoted as saying "It will be based on vintage classics with modern twists." Geez, where have we heard that one before in the fashion industry?
But, since we are fans of Andre, we will try to give him the benefit of the doubt. Let's just hope that whoever is helping him design the line will reign him in some. If not, then some of his clothes might end up looking like this:

We managed to find an even uglier version of "Ugly Betty's" poncho!

We just don't see this one flying off the shelves. With or without the braid.

Definitely not a look for everyone. Or maybe for anyone.

Yeah, we don't think we need to comment any further. The pictures speak for themselves.
Every celebrity has some fashion missteps. They wouldn't be human if they didn't. Nobody can possibly look good all the time, particularly not in this day and age when paparazzi are everywhere, trying to get a pic of you stepping outside your house to get your newspaper in your bathrobe.
That being said, sometimes there are pictures of celebs wearing outfits that totally puzzle us. Here is what we mean:

The Posh one, Victoria Beckham wearing this green mess while out and about with husband David in Los Angeles recently.
Look, Vicky – we get that you are excited to be in LA, where you can still wear short skirts like this in September. Back in your native London you already have cooler weather. But just because you CAN wear a dress like this, doesn't mean you SHOULD.
What is up with the fringe-like pieces of cloth? It looks like the seamstress ran out of time to do this properly. And then to add insult to fashion injury, there is a tie and an equally-hideous green purse to match!
In Beckham's defense, she wasn't the only one with a taste for tacky fringe this week.

Ashley Olsen ran errands in Hollywood this week wearing this brown mess that looks like a plastic table cloth with slits cut into it. Step up your game, ladies!
Not everything about the Emmys is great. We spouted off about our love of this particular awards show in another post but now we have to get to the ugly side of the Emmys – the worst-dressed list.

Jaime Pressley better be thankful she won for "My Name is Earl" because if not, her night would have been a complete dud in this ugly getup.

Elizabeth Perkins has apparently run out of money and had to make a dress out of curtains in order to walk the red carpet.

Well, at least she has her health. After a trying summer vacation away from "The Office" that saw her nursing broken vertebrae, Jenna Fischer wore this dowdy gown for the ceremony. Now only is it frumpy and huge but it has a bow.

Ah, the follies of youth! "Heroes" star Hayden Panettiere is one of the newest gossip column regulars and has practically become a household name. But if she continues to wear frocks like this to high-profile ceremonies she is gonna become a regular where no Hollywood starlet wants to be a regular – the bad-dresser list.

Just because Penelope Cruz managed to pull off the feathery, fringy look at the Oscars doesn't mean that it should be done more than once. Vanessa Williams' "Ugly Betty" alter-ego Wilhelmina Slater would not approve!
