We are not completely on the celebrity endorsement bandwagon. Recent fashion endorsement contracts by the likes of little tartlets like Paris Hilton and the newly-arrested Lindsay Lohan make us ill, and we question the wisdom of hiring a celebrity to endorse your brand just because they are a celebrity, and not because they have any substance, fashion sense, or in the case of Paris, talent (the jury is still out on LaLohan's talent level).

The marriage of Louis Vuitton and Scarlett Johansson, on the other hand, is pure celebrity endorsement nirvana. We love Ms. Johansson and think she is a great fit with LV. We love the last two campaigns she has done for them, but we really love the latest.

We love the styling on this, very Barbarella if you ask us. The shoes are beautiful, although they hurt our feet just looking at them.

This one is our favorite, though. Not only is it a beautiful picture, but the pose really show's off Scarlett's natural curves. We have always admired her for not trying to be waif thin, and never caving to pressure to lose weight. She is slim, healthy and glowing – you can't say that most actresses these days. The fact that LV decided to go with someone real is fantastic. Oh, and so is that bag. We are drooling in anticipation, though something tells us that our enthusiasm may be dampened just a bit once the price is announced.

We blogged last week about the much-maligned fashion malady that is high-waisted pants and jeans. So far, only Mischa Barton had lost fashionista points for wearing the dreaded blunder, not once but twice (gasp!) while in dreary London last week. Thankfully, Mischa then jetted off to Paris where she was seen in dresses and mini skirts all around the City of Lights. She therefore earned some of her points back.

But now, Baghaus was horrified to learn over the weekend that Jessica Simpson has been spotted in the mommy pants as well.

You know the world is coming to an end when…

This could be the worst decision Jessica has made since thinking that The Dukes of Hazard would be a great launch to her acting career.

We already forgave the fabulous Scarlett Johansson for her fashion transgression with the ugly pants, and let us tell you, that was some SERIOUS forgiveness. Look at her, mommy jeans that put on 10lbs and then a see-through black top with a white bra underneath? Was she auditioning for Housewives Gone Wild?

One day we'll all look back together and laugh.

We are having a harder time forgiving everyone else, because the more these pants show up in photos, the bigger the chance there is of them catching on. Like sequined headbands, legwarmers and skinny ties, the mommy pants need to be buried in the fashion graveyard, ASAP!
