We haven't seen a ton of this yet ourselves out on the street, but since some of the Hollywood types are starting to wear them, you gotta wonder if it is not well on its way to becoming the Next Big Thing.

We are talking about pink satin pumps, of course! Pink satin used to be pretty much limited to ballerina shoes in terms of footwear but that is changing now with these cute, girly high heels.
Now, the rules of fashion are changing, but there used to be a time when you were supposed to match your shoes to your handbag. Though not everyone still does that, we like to. So we asked ourselves, if we got into the pink satin pumps trend, what bag would we try to match with it?

With the newest FAA restrictions on what you can and can't bring onto a plane, some people are packing light in their carry-on bags. And we won't even get into the whole taking off your shoes thing, since we always manage to get behind the person who never heard of a pedicure.
But our favorite Hollywood starlets aren't letting a little thing like Homeland Security cramp their airport style.

Jessica Simpson shows that you can still look glam while dressing down. She is carrying the new Cavalli leopard print bag, but we think she would look better with one of our adorable new giraffe print bags instead.

We heart Madonna, but she has worn some really kooky things over the years!

Boy, we can't ever see ourselves wearing something like that, unless it was to a costume party. But even then …
Of course, its not all bad. And we really loved her line for H&M.

But we just can't forgive her dress that she wore this week for her induction into the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame.

Madge had been living in England and covering up so much during the winters there lately that we almost forgot about her risqué past. But she reminded us with this peek-a-boo dress that only Iggy Pop could top, since he was wearing no shirt.
We don't like the dress at all, and its not because it is see-through. To the contrary, we don't mind well-made sheer sheaths. What we don't like is the styling and colors on her. For one of the bigger nights of her career, she could have gone different.

These three ladies have all worn see-thru dresses lately and they all looked fabulous. Maybe we just don't like black on Madonna, or maybe it was the dowdy hair, but she just didn't pull it off like these girls did.
However, she wouldn't be Madonna if she did everything the conventional way, and that's why we love her, and that's why she is one of our style icons. We just wish she would get a better stylist. Or hairdresser. Or both.

When we found out about Badgley Mischka having a runway collection of nothing but wedding gowns, our hearts went pitter patter. Of course, we are not actually engaged or anything, but one day when we are (we hope!) we would normally love to consider a BM gown.

But, uh … not if they look like this. Seriously, there are some really ugly bridal gowns out there. Anything that looks like meringue is high on that list. But this isn't just semi-ugly, it's so plain. Which is very much the opposite of what we thought we would see from a BM bridal collection.

This one is better, but still just meh. We don't mind a little sparkle or bling on our gown but this just really isn't very flattering, unless you have a body just like the model.

Oy! This looks more like a wedding gown designed by Frederick's of Hollywood instead of Badgley Mischka. Not only is it ugly, but it's offensive as well. We realize that 99% of all brides are likely not virgins on their wedding night, but that doesn't mean you get to wear your honeymoon lingerie down the aisle.

And here is the real fug. I mean, seriously, who would wear this? It's like a dress trying to be a period piece but still elegant. It just doesn't work. On any level.
It's just about three weeks until the premiere of season 4 of "Project Runway," we were glad to hear a little PR news by way of LA Fashion Week. It turns out that Season 3 winner Jeffrey Sebelia, he of the neck tattoos and deconstructed look, showed off his Spring/Summer collection for Costa Nostra.
Unfortunately, the collection isn't all that great. We are pretty underwhelmed, to be honest. Some of the clothes lack the signature, daring style that made Jeffrey famous (or is that infamous) in the first place.
I mean, seriously. There is absolutely nothing special about that top, and those jeans are not only ugly, but I bet you have to pay $200 or more to get jeans that look like the stitches on Frankenstein's head. The days of overpaying for denim are over as well, as evidenced by the financial woes of designer jeans companies like 7 For All Mankind.
We do love that Jeffrey makes menswear as well and includes them on the same runway. But we don't know a single man who would wear this outfit. Not one.
We heard that Jeffrey was having money woes as well, and looks like this won't cure that. This type of look pigeonholes his clothes into a very niche place where only rock stars and aspiring rock stars want the clothes. And in this age of rehab, we think he will be hard pressed to find those willing to buy.
We announced with heavy hearts a few months ago that fashion legend Valentino was retiring. Well, he is almost there and so sadly, last week's collections at Paris Fashion Week is to be one of his last. But boy, did he make it memorable!
There is a big trend towards patterned dresses and a lot of matching items. We don't always care for that trend but here, it looks polished and stylish. We are not crazy about the shoes but we honestly don't know if it would work without them, either.
The voluminous sleeve trend is a bit distressing but we kind of like this in a strange sort of way.
This dress is so simple that it is stunning. Those words usually don't go together but we just love this. The duo of pink and purple was overplayed years ago and this is the first time we have seen them put together in a really long time. But it works.
This is another outfit that defies logic. Separately, we would have polka dots and bows, so together you would think this makes us sick. And yet somehow, against all odds, we like it. A lot.
We mentioned earlier this way how we still love the yellow thing that was so chic over the spring. So of course we love this. Flirty, fun and oh-so-chic. And yellow. What's not to love?
Paris fashion week always has a few surprises and only the best designers. This of course would include Marc Jacobs, who we adore. Since he designs for Louis Vuitton, we are very interested in any collection, press release or whatever we can get our hands on in regards to them.
So naturally we were all over the photos from the recent runway collection, slated for spring of 2008. Here are some of the highlights:

This is just waaaay too cutesy for us. We already know the show is for LV, so spelling it out on the hats is a little overboard.
Wow. I bet that bag costs at least $1200. And it looks to be worth about $12.

Oh boy. What has happened to our beloved LV?
We have always thought that bags that had to actually spell out the designers name instead of just having the logo were trying too hard. We do not deviate from that thought process in regards to this bag.
Hey, we kinda like this one. Finally!
Seriously, Marc was all over the place in this collection, and we didn't like the majority of it. We are very disappointed but our undying love for LV won't wane. It's a love-hate relationship sometimes, anyways. And this collection proves it.
Like most of the collections that have been revealed over the last two weeks in the Milan and Paris Fashion Week shows, Gucci had a lot of hit-and-miss clothing. The assortment of clothes that ran down the Gucci runway is a bit mind-boggling but there are some real gems (and stinkers) here. Without further adieu, onto the clothes!
Yuck, yuck, yuck. We love the fall black and white trend, but this is just waaay too geometric for us. It just doesn't look like it goes together at all.
With one less color, we probably would have liked this. But four colors on one gown? Talk about overkill!
Simple and chic. We love it, including the shoes that are perfect for fall.
Overall, we like the outfit, but the cut on those pants is awful! Unless you are a waif like the model, you are going to look at least two sizes bigger in the waist by wearing these. Change them to another style and the outfit is great.
This screams Gucci to us, and we love it. We could do without the pink shoes but the dress by itself is fab.
Another example of one color too many. We understand a splash of color is good in monochrome prints but does it have to be so random?
Ok, so we have professed our love for all things Sarah Jessica Parker, including the groundbreaking series "Sex and the City." We cried when it left the airwaves (yes, literally) and have been salivating for word as to when the much-anticipated movie would start filming.
Well, not that it is filming all over NYC, there are obviously some pictures that have been leaked and we are NOT happy about some of them. We know the show was always on the cutting edge of fashion, and we expect no less of the Big Screen version. However, some of these choices … Well, we will let you judge for yourself.

Is this a flashback to when our Fab Four ladies met? Because if this is not a flashback to 1980s fashion, then we are a little worried about Samantha's recent change in style.

Yeah … we don't know what to say. If we were SJP, we don't think we would be smiling like she is.

We can't decide which is uglier – the cheesy novelty bag or those hideous shoes.

What on EARTH is that feather thing on the side of SJP's veil? And why is the bodice of her gown so ill-fitting? She is swimming in the top, and those jewels look almost like stains.
The one redeeming factor is that we hear that many of these scenes (including the wedding one) are fantasies of the girls being played out and not a part of the actual storyline. Let's hope these clothes aren't a part of the storyline by the time it reaches cineplexes.
