Baghaus Tan Crosta Satchel - $39.99

A simple, roomy satchel that isn't overly large or overly ornate. There was a time when this was a standard in the fashion and handbag industry. With the influx of "It Bags," though it became apparent that leather goods makers would have to make their purses a little flashier and "must-have" than the normal standard of yore.

Some of those attempts to make a better It Bag really went over well. There are some gorgeous bags out there. Then, some of them went sour, like the flashy patchwork bags that took perfectly good bags and chopped them to pieces for another.

But everything old is new again, and the classics are coming back, albeit with a slightly modern twist or upgrade. The Crosta satchel by Salvatore Ferragamo is a prime example. It has a classic aesthetic to it that can't be denied, yet it is larger than standard satchels to keep with today's trend of bigger bags.

Of course, Baghaus wanted in on this trend and so has made a beautiful version of the Crosta satchel that comes in tan, black and white. They come with internal zipper and fitted pockets and are made of high-quality leatherette with contrast stitching and a 10-inch drop handle perfect for the arm, shoulder or hand.

Gancio Satchel by Salvatore Ferragamo-$1390

Well, our fashion spidey sense began to tingle with that one! How could our mother not know who Salvatore Ferragamo is? Well, we shouldn't be surprised, she mostly watches Lifetime Television for Women and doesn't know how to use the internet, so we forgave her. But not before we gave her a little education.
