Milan Fashion Week 2007: Marni

The Marni collection from last week's Milan Fashion Week was definitely one of the more bizarre ones we have seen since the Couture shows (which of course are generally a little over-the-top). There are some pieces that, if toned down, we would wear but some of them are just not very practical, even for a fashionista. Here are the more memorable pieces:

We actually like the color contrast of this dress but the cut is not something we care for. Anyone with hips will look heavier than they really are in this.

On the other hand, we loved this. The color combo is unexpected and the cut of these looks tailored and yet still flowy enough for us to want to wear it in spring and feel comfortable in it.

We love the skirt on this outfit. Which is why we hate the blouse – not only is it way too boxy but we also have big issue with not being able to see more of the skirt.

We just don't know what to say about this. It is ugly, badly paired separates and just very odd. We wouldn't even wear the two pieces separately. The top looks like what we imagine a peasant would wear if they had a sense of color. A bad sense.

Did vinyl clothing come into vogue and nobody told us?

Oh, and we hate the shoes on every single outfit. Satin platform clogs? You have to be joking!
