When we say "Get Smart" we are not just talking about the new Anne Hathaway movie that opened to big numbers this past weekend. We are talking about Ms. Hathaway herself, who seems to have made many smart moves lately.

First, she dumped her no-good boyfriend who has been charged with a few serious crimes. They broke up just a few weeks ago, right before the latest round of charges. Good timing.



Then she signed on as an ambassador for Lancome and will help launch their newest scent. Why is this smart? Because unlike so many of her celeb counterparts, she is not trying to invent her own scent. So many of these celebrity vanity scents just stink. It's nice to see an endorsement for an existing one for a change.

And then there is her fashion sense – which is always lovely. We have yet to see her in a real fashion disaster, which is very rare for such a young Hollywood starlet. She always look beautiful and well-put together. We just hope that just because she is quickly becoming a fashion icon (we might have to do a separate post about that later) that she won't all the sudden think she is a designer, another faux pas of so many of her peers.

You may or may not have heard recently about New York Rangers hockey star Sean Avery's internship at Vogue. Having professed a desire to be a fashion editor after he retires from the ice, he wrote a letter to Vogue editrix Anna Wintour, who hired him an intern.

Despite the grunt work he did as an intern, he loved what he saw and now wants to be a personal stylist to the stars. He has teamed up with his BFF, Lauryn Flynn (the former director of celebrity services for Calvin Klein) to accomplish the task.

While this isn't the first time that fashion and sports have intersected (think David Beckham), it is still fairly rare for the more macho of the big sports (such as the NFL or in this case the NHL) to have such an outspoken fan of fashion, particularly as it applies to women. Add to that Avery's less-than-stellar reputation on the ice (having been voted as the most hated player by his peers) and you see the fascination.

We gotta admit, we weren't sold on this whole thing at first. Then, after reading his philosophy on how he plans to dress his new clients, we decided to open up our minds and now we are curious to see which celeb signs up first. Let's just hope he lives the hockey chic at home. Shoulder pads went out in the 80s.

**Sigh.** Another day, another starlet who is trying to become a clothing designer. This time it's Kristin Davis, who plays Charlotte on "Sex and the City."

According to the official Web site, Davis' line with Belk will be available in 125 locations and online starting next spring. Good thing it is available online, because we have never even heard of Belk. And we have lived in and/or visited several of the Southern states that they are located in. Davis being a Southerner (from South Carolina) said that it was the fanciest store they had growing up.

We don't care about fancy, we care about style. We hope the pieces are as good as the press release says. We also want to know what the above banner means – "one look so easily becomes another." Does this mean the pieces coordinate? That they look the same? Hmmm …

Davis herself said that some of Charlotte's style will cross over to the collection. We don't mind that so much, as Ms. York-Goldenblatt always looked classically-styled and beautiful. There were a few boring things she wore but for the most part she always looked chic.

We just have one request – leave the maternity wear out of the collection. Polka dots and pink? Yuck!

We just love posting about celebs and their pregnancy style, because it is always so chic and stylish. We remember when our own mum was pregnant with our youngest sibs, and how dowdy most of the clothes were. Omar the tent maker anyone? But celebs prove that mommy can be chic, even while the bun is still in the oven. Nicole Kidman is no exception to this rule.

Nicole stood by her man at the CMA Awards in a red braided YSL gown. She looks glam and gorgeous here.

You can barely detect a baby bump in this picture, but we loved her ruffled shirt dress so much we just had to include it. From the cut, fit and the color, this is a winner in all aspects.

This is how it's done. Gorgeous, beautiful color, perfectly fit and makes her pregnancy glow that much more vibrant.

We love the risk she took here but we just aren't feeling it. Oh well, you can't be flawless all the time.
