We blogged a couple of months ago about how gaudy and ridiculous we thought the Louis Vuitton patchwork was. At $42,000, we decided to pass. For that amount of cash, you could buy every bag on Baghaus and still have plenty left to buy some clothes to match. We also can't see spending more than the cost of a car on a single bag, even if we were a rich Hollywood starlet.

The funny thing about the bag is that we hadn't actually seen a single celebrity with it. Oh sure, plenty of stars grace their shoulders with LV, but nobody had gone for this particular model. Until now. Last week, singer Beyonce was spotted with the tote, and we have to say – not only was it amusing to see, but the bag was much larger than we thought, even though we had seen plenty of pictures of it, like the one above.

Now that we look at it on Beyonce's shoulder, its even more behemoth than we thought. And those chains that pass for a shoulder strap? They look huge, heavy and hideously uncomfortable. Yes, we will spend our $42,000 (if we had it) on something else entirely. Like an entire wardrobe that won't cause muscle strains.
